mixed-up monday: it’s in the cards
I wasn’t surprised to learn that Hallmark is shutting down its operations in Topeka, Kansas. Even though the greeting card giant has been a long-time go-to for those who care enough to send the very best, it hasn’t evolved quickly enough to remain an industry powerhouse in our increasingly digital world.
A lifelong card-o-holic, I plan to keep on sending paper cards and will always be thrilled to find one in my mailbox, but I’m also devouring the multimedia smorgasbord of traditional and nuanced sentiments offered by my favorite ecard purveyors paperless post and cocodot — like this humpty pronounced with the umpty invitation to my friend’s book release party.} And, I’m grateful for laugh-out-loud moments like this one delivered by some ecards.
In the spirit of staying connected, this week’s playlist is infused with occasional inspiration — from birthdays to new homes to words of support during difficult times to missing you missives.Click on the envelope below to tune in.
