Try this:
Make your first two footfalls an expression of gratitude.
Getting out of bed, say “Thank” out loud as your left foot touches the ground, followed by “you” when your right foot lands.
You can attach specifics to your gratitude two-step, but it’s not necessary to think beyond the gift of being alive, awake and stepping into a new day.
